On my way to a healthier me...

So... after so much emotional stress and doctor warnings... i have started to really try and drop some weight. So far, this has gone well... I am at the end of week 1, and I am down more pounds then I could have ever imagined =)

Back to School

I truly never thought I would go back. This summer, I am taking a Criminal Justice class at a local community college. From the first day back, I have loved every minute. My professor is crazy --- yells, tells stories about his experiences, and cusses. Basically, he is just the kind of professor I need. I am never worried I will fall asleep! I am tired, but I am so happy this class is going so well!

Hey Guys.

I seriously forgot I have a blog... and as I always say.... I will keep updating... and then I forget! Anyway, a lot has been going on. Justin and I got engaged on Christmas Eve. We are thinking that we want to get married in September 2010, but I have yet to find a place, dress, or even pick a date. Needless to say we are flexible. It seems to be a little stressful, and I am just enjoying being engaged right now. To be honest, it feels the same... we have lived together for a while, so it's comfortable. Anyway, once wedding plans start coming around I will post more =)

Alex's 21st

On Columbus Day weekend we took Alex on a quick overnight trip to Vegas for his first "legal" time there. We had a lot of fun, even though we were only there for a short time. One of my favorite times was when we all rode the roller coaster at State line. That thing was crazy!!!!

It's been too long.

It's been a long time since I have posted to my blog. So much has happened! First of all, I moved to Orange with Justin, and Lola was given away to a new owner =( but honestly... life really couldn't be better. Other then giving up Lola, everything has been great. Right now I am in Carl Junction, Missouri visiting my mom. It is so great to see her and be able to spend time with her. It's almost like no time has passed at all. It is really beautiful here, very peaceful and quiet.

Tonight is the end of the first official day we have been here. Yesterday, my Grandma and I traveled all day to get here, so today was the first official day we got to spend with everyone. I got up early this morning, and my Mom, myself, and my Grandma all went to Bob Evans and ate breakfast. After that we did some shopping at Academy (a sporting goods store with lots of cool affordable stuff!!!) and went to where my mom works, a casino called The Downstream.

The Downstream is really nice, and has something I love..... lots of penny machines!!! =) We spent a few hours there and it really was fun. I loved playing a machine that had a dolphin theme (i won 18 bucks! on a penny machine!!) and several other cool themed ones. I have posted a few photos from my phone so everyone can see what I am talking about. One is of the outside of the Downstream, with it's big hotel tower. Another is me, very tired this morning. Then, there is a machine i played called the Jade Elephant. We love elephants! and of course, a picture of my Mom's two dogs, Duke and Daisy.

When I was younger, I really liked beads and making my own jewelry. Recently, I have gotten back into beading and have learned a few other new hobbies. I was messing around with my beads tonight and made this bracelet. It has gold and pink beads and is made really easily with some stretchy string and 3 different strands. =D
